Automatic peritoneal dialysis machine (APD) helps the patient with chronic kidney failure to excrete waste products and excess body water for 8-10 hours at night while the patient is asleep. This machine accurately and automatically measures the amount of fluid required for each change and timing of dialysis solution insertion, time the solution remains in the peritoneal cavity, and discharge. Automatic peritoneal dialysis machine (APD) has the following advantages:

Continuous Renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is a slow and continuous treatment that mimics the function of the kidneys in regulating water, electrolytes and the removal of toxins by continuously removing salts and fluids. It is performed in patients who meet therapeutic criteria for hemodialysis but because hemodynamic instability cannot tolerate intermittent hemodialysis (IHD). In hospitalized patients who are constantly receiving medications and intravenous fluids and injections and are hemodynamically unstable, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is the preferred method of choice.
